In the beauty shots you see for each section of this site I wore a simple white t-shirt and natural make up. I wanted the focus to be on the Perfect Props used to represent the main sections of the site. I began by finding two necklaces to alternate between that also matched the website color scheme. The above necklace was love at first site when I found it in Forever 21. The floral detail, Tiffany Turquoise and Powder Pink stones are the same color as my fairy costume and the inner aurora crystal is not only my favourite stone, but also the same as the crystals used to detail my costume.
The next necklace is also from Forever 21 which I snapped up immediately. It’s a larger floral necklace with rose gold metal backing, Silver Sparkle and the Perfect Peach roses inside. I felt the two necklaces not only complimented each other but also matched the website perfectly.
My nail art inspiration grew from the necklaces I chose to accessorize my plain white t-shirt. I stuck to the colour palette of the site; Tiffany Turquoise, Powder Pink, Perfect Peach and Silver Sparkle. I used Barry M Mint Green, Barry M Baby Pink, Catrice Biscuits & Cupcakes, Gosh Holographic and NYX Ice Glitter.
I came up with this simple design using two coats of the colours above completed with a layer of mixed Silver Sparkle. I love how they turned out and although I was only wearing a basic white t-shirt for the shoot, my nails reflected my costume perfectly.
For the first shot I held these make up brushes to signify the Make Up section of the site. After searching online for the perfect brushes for the shoot and to use in my new YouTube chanel when applying make up, I came across these. The Sigma Mrs. Bunny Essential Brush Kit fromCloud 10 Beauty contains the perfect selection, comes with a handy holder and the best part; they’re pink and blue.
For the Beauty section of the site I chose a simple perfume bottle with a touch of sparkle. This represents fragrance, the simple glitter detail picks out every colour in the site and also photographs beautifully.
For the same shot I also held a Tiffany Turquoise comb to alternate the colours and represent hair.
For the Decor & More section I chose this beautiful feathered rose. It’s the Perfect Peach, is so feminine and even matches the rose necklaces I wore.
For the same shot I pretended to apply the above rose to this Tiffany & Co. box. The site is not only based around this colour, but the shot represents craft and interior design which you will find in this section. The pink glitter background you see in all of the above pictures is also in this shot; it represents art and my love of making things. I also wanted to use this card as a pretty background to my images. Overall I’m really happy with how well everything ties in and how personalized the site images are.
